Victoria, founder & creative director of Brora

I started Brora due to a love of Scottish textiles and I have always appreciated properly crafted designs and traditional skills. So The Colombia Collective is a complete joy, and their concept of working with people whose talents have been passed down through the generations, and thus keeping these extraordinary skills alive is truly wonderful. Choosing an edit was hard as there is so much to love but here goes:

PALMITO FRUITY NAPKIN RINGS | CHERRY
How could I resist?! With a recent addition to the family of a grand-daughter called Cherry and being a self-confessed lover of a fabric napkin, these cute napkin rings just sing to me. Dinner will always be more fun with these on the table.

NARINO WOVEN BOWL
These beautifully woven bowls reminded me of a knitwear pattern we have run for years at Brora, we call it a signature wave knit so I couldn’t resist! And you can always have another bowl.

TCC X BRORA HAND WOVEN TASSEL TOTE BAG
Naturally my edit must include the fabulous hand woven bag we have designed in collaboration with The Colombia Collective for this season. The colours came from one of our cashmere stories and the combination of raspberry pinks and cobalt blues on a midnight base is just so spot on. The workmanship that goes into each of these bags is staggering and I love the cohesion between the ethics of our two brands.

WAYUU POM POM TASSEL
How can you not love a pom-pom tassel? These colours are rich and rare and would fit into my home with ease. I’d pop them on the end of dangly light switches or loo pull chains! A bit eccentric but I love a splash of colour almost anywhere.

GUAPI CUATRO TETAS BASKET
These are totally fabulous, the weave, the colour combinations, the voluptuous shape; I’ll pop one in the bathroom and fill it with loo paper rolls. Just so unique and special. My bathroom will be made all the more exciting with my new Colombia Collective gems.

NARINO WOVEN PLACEMATS
Good looking table mats are hard to find and these with their diagonal two tone weave just immediately make laying the table a total pleasure. They are the perfect size and shape in my mind and considering the hours that have gone into making them, they are great value.
