Rincon Del Mar, Sucre
Just a couple of hours from Cartagena, this traditional fishing village is home to one of the most stunning Caribbean beaches complete with tropical mangroves and breath-taking sunsets. Tayrona Park, Magdalena
This national park is one for the nature lovers. Inhabited by over 100 species of mammals, 300 species of birds and more than 700 different plant species, you'll no doubt discover something new around every corner. Hike the beautiful beaches of the park and enjoy the clean air and rugged scenery. This one requires a full day of walking and exploring, but is well worth the visit!
Palomino, La Guajira
Playa Colombia is paradise at it's finest. Only a mere km from the centre of Palomino, the white sands and palm trees of this beach look like they've been plucked straight from a postcard. With a flat beach, perfect for leisurely walks and the ideal waves for surfing, this playa is just what's needed for day of rest & relaxation. Nuquí, Chocó
With wide beaches and long stretches of sand, there are numerous resorts to discover along the Nuquí coast and one of the best times to visit is between July and October, during the whale watching season. Guachalito Beach is particularly secluded, if you're after peace & quiet, otherwise make sure you take the time to uncover the area's hot springs and many waterfalls.
San Andrés Island
There's a reason this island is one of the most visited places in Colombia! With rough & rocky terrain to the southwest, quieter coves in the east and the most popular beaches in the north, it offers the chance to pick and choose your location dependent on how you feel for the day. There's even aquariums on the island to provide some all round family fun or diving experiences for the marine life lovers. Fun fact: the island is also home to the third largest barrier reef in the world.
Uramba National Natural Park Bahía Málaga, Valle Del Cauca
Rich in biodiversity and lush green forests, this pacific coastline offers up another of Colombia's great national parks, combining beach life with nature exploration in and around Málaga Bay. Brimming with activities such as whale watching, kayaking and swimming , there is always something to see or do at the Uramba National Park.
Bahía Solano, Chocó
The city with the largest pacific coast, Bahía Solano's beaches are home to dolphins and sea turtles as well as an abundance of migratory birds. Capurganá, Chocó
